Interesting article on Autoblog "Tesla investor Ross Gerber says he can't sell his used Tesla. Why Musk's cars aren't retaining value"

Do you think a surplus of older Teslas in the used market could start putting pressure on the stock price?

On one hand, I would say yes as consumers would be turned off from buying Teslas because they don't hold their value.

But, there are so many Teslas on the road, so it doesn't seem like people are turned off by them. I also think EVs in general just don't hold value, because they are simply old electronics.

Think about about many used computers are on sale on eBay, FaceBook, Craigslist, etc. It doesn't have much of an effect on Apple or PC manufacturers. I believe it's because consumers want new electronics most of the time, and I think the same applies with cars. People don't want used batteries, they want new ones. So the demand for used EV's are low.
